In this case the red-line-level of the window will lie above the upper

side of the battens resulting in a risk of leakage in the ﬂashing if

this aspect is not taken into account.

Therefore, to even out the connection between the ﬂashing and the

rooﬁng material, it is necessary to "chock up" the battens around

the window.
